Yikes! Studio Loves Polymer Clay Daily, Directions Show on Mount Desert, and more

Polymer Clay Daily is a great blog highlighting new work by talented polymer clay artists. The blog does what it says on the tin, with new posts on polymer clay art and artists every weekday, but it also fosters community and provides inspiration, tips, and artist interviews.

Yikes!Studio has been featured on Polymer Clay Daily over the last three years, and you can see all posts on Yikes! jewelry here. There is always fresh talent on this blog and Yikes! is in good company!

I've been very busy getting ready for Directions, the Maine Craft Guild MDI Show, coming up on July 26-28, MDI High School, on Mount Desert Island, Maine. Exciting! Find my full summer schedule here.

I've also been updating my online shop with new and exciting pieces, including the Boho Pendant in three fabulous colors (like fuschia, above left) so please stop in and take a peek! Meanwhile, my Etsy shop is still a great place to shop Yikes! earrings, and necklaces and bangles as well.

Etsy Spotlight posts are a new feature on the blog centered around Etsy artisans and vintage items. They're a way to celebrate artisans and crafters who create great work and encourage us all to think of shopping small or shopping local before going to a big box store. Check out May, June and July Etsy Spotlight collections here. If you want to see your item in an upcoming Etsy spotlight, email my web admin at dylan@grayfiredesign.com to learn how. And as always, you can always reach me on my Facebook, or on Twitter @YIKESStudio.
